How Ampledger turns a photo of your breaker panel into a map you can search.

Every home has the same ritual. Something needs to be switched off, someone stands at the panel squinting at a handwritten strip of labels, and someone else stands in the room shouting "not that one." Ampledger exists to end that ritual. Here is how it works.

1. Capture the panel

Open the app and photograph your breaker panel with the door open. The photo captures the physical layout, the breaker sizes printed on each switch, and whatever labels already exist, legible or not.

2. Review the first draft

Ampledger produces an AI-assisted first-draft map from the photo: each breaker's position, its amperage where it can be read, and a best guess at the circuit name from any existing label. It is a draft on purpose — panel labels in real homes are wrong often enough that we would rather show you a guess you can check than a claim you have to trust.

3. Confirm by field-testing

This is the step handwritten strips skip. Flip a breaker, check the room, and confirm the circuit name in the app. Each confirmed breaker is marked, so you always know which parts of the map have been verified and which are still the draft.

4. Search and share

From then on you search by name. Type "office outlet" and the app shows the breaker, its position, and its amperage. Export a clean, printable label sheet, or share the live map with a family member, a tenant, or an electrician about to start work.

Your panel is your business

Ampledger ships with no bundled analytics SDK. Search history and onboarding state stay on your device, and panel data leaves it only if you choose to sync or share through your own authenticated workspace.
